Hello everyone. Ive been messing with this James Bond pinball machine for a while. It started with the power board giving me around 12v. where I should only be getting 8. Also had no 42v or 60v output. So I ordered the power supply rebuild kit from Big Daddys. Put the majority of everything in like the new transistor, capacitors, some diodes, and resistors, new 5v. pot, and chips, minus a few resistors and diodes that checked out ok. Now when I power it up, Im getting my 5v., 8v. which is good. But now the 42v. is giving me 60v. and the 60v. is putting out 81v. I did notice also resistor R1 and R5 are getting hot.

Ive highlighted the resistors that are getting hot.

Did you check to see what your incoming voltages are at?

1) Use everything in the kit. I did what you did and only replaced what I thought was needed in my rebuild kit, ended up causing nothing but headaches and in the end I did the full rebuild anyway.

2) Check incoming voltages.

3) Be aware that some rails will report higher when unplugged, due to the lack of a load. Sites such as pinrepair may list these unloaded voltages for your system.
