Hi

I am working on an 1989 Elvira + Partymonsters and one of the displays is broken. The display sort of works, the numbers flash and flicker a bit (longer if the machine is left off for long periods of time). Anyway, I am wondering if this is the display itself, or if there is another problem (someone suggested it could be a resistor on the power supply board). Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this?

Thanks a bunch,
(and thanks to everyone who responded to the LW3 playfield post too!)

Check for cracked solder joints on the display connectors. A quick test for this is to simply push down on the display connector and see if the display reacts.
